Seed Survivor Workshop!
2014 Winter Olympics
We have been busy learning all about the Winter Olympics taking place Sochi, Russia. The grade 3/4s have been learning about the different sports included in the Winter Olympics and we have been tracking the medals won by Canada each day. Last week, each student chose an athlete from Canada's Olympic team, completed research and created an athlete profile card to display on the bulletin board outside of our classroom. We hope you will discover something new about one of Canada's great athletes through our research!
Grinch Cookies! We practiced following directions in a recipe and working together as a group while making Grinch Cookies. Merry Christmas!

We RememberThe Grade 3s and 4s spent a lot of time over the past week discovering why we wear poppies on Remembrance Day. We watched videos, read books and discussed our thoughts and feelings about this special day. Students did an excellent job writing about why we wear poppies and then created beautiful poppies to go along with their writing. On Thursday, November 7th, the Grade 3s presented the poem "In Flanders Fields" and the Grade 4s read their writing about poppies during our Remembrance Day Ceremony.
